UI/UX Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Project Manager (PM), responsible for owning projects from start to finish. This role would involve managing the client relationship from an initial discovery process, through solution design and delivery, ensuring that deliverables are high-quality, optimally solve the client’s problems, and are delivered on time and on budget. The PM’s goal is to ensure that the end-to-end experience of working with GVio exceeds the client’s expectations and produces a brilliant user-experience.

 

This is a great position for a detail-oriented manager who is interested in design and loves creating intuitive and insightful experiences for users.

Key tasks & responsibilities

  • Manage UI/UX projects to align with scope defined in statement of work
  • Produce UX readback artifacts (question boards, workflow diagrams, wireframes, role/persona matrices, etc.)
  • Review and QA designs prepared by design team, prior to client presentation
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Develop project plans, monitor progress, track project performance
  • Assess and manage project risk, escalating to management as needed
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Prepare for and facilitate client meetings
  • Provide feedback to ensure all changes are complete and accurate
  • Prepare slides for client review
  • Plan and schedule internal and external meetings, reviews, workshops
  • Adjust priorities as needed
  • Coordinate work with internal design team
  • Participate in project retrospectives and post-mortems

Skills & experience required

  • B.A/ B.S. or graduate degree
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in consulting, design management, project management, and/or product management role(s)
  • Work experience managing digital product design projects
  • Background working with data and analytics is a plus
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills
  • Great storyteller with PowerPoint
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Experience with Agile process and methods
  • Skilled at handling multiple projects at the same time
  • Well-integrated left-brain management skills with right-brain design interests
  • High EQ, interpersonal skills, creative problem-solving orientation, and critical thinking
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
  • Must be able to work in our office in Boston (not a remote position)
